La portée is an ongoing research project about the place of music in our living spaces.
The aim is to rethink the place of objects that embody music (audio interfaces, amps, speakers,
cables, instruments, CD players, etc.) by focusing on their supports and the way they are
arranged in a space.
As such, this research targets anyone with a more or less close relationship to music,
from the person who produces to the person who merely consumes.
Its vocation is to explore a sensitive and scenographic way of presenting and using music objects.

La portée is a support for works of art, it’s a support for creation!

For the first episode, a range of three objects has already been prototyped.
This first family focuses on functionality in confined spaces.
Two upright easels and a lectern on wheels make it easy to create a sound work space,
a listening space or to free up living space. Equipped with integrated electrical
plugs and a switch, they centralize wiring and make it easy to switch on the various
listening or composition tools. The width of the racks is based on music tool standards
(amplifiers, players and rack-mountable components). A strap clamping system is integrated,
enabling all speaker formats to be secured.
The solid beech uprights and gray-stained plywood fronts set this range back visually,
leaving music objects, whose identity is already quite pronounced, to take center stage.
